Arco-Flagellants DIY

Here's another WIP of some arco-flagellant's for my Radical Daemonhunters army.  Same story different miniatures; I'm cheap/broke and GW charges too much money.

Anyway these were/are some Ghouls form the Kings of War miniatures game.  I chopped off their hands and replaced them with  added some green stuff and some guitar string and/or chain swords and some blade bits.

This guys head reminds me of David Letterman

I was trying to create a hood which ripped but now it looks like he's been shot in the face.

Majeda, Battle Nun Counts As Death-Cult Assassin

I like to think of myself as being thrifty as opposed to cheap and I really wanted to add some Death-Cultists to my Radical Daemonhunters army but I didn't feel like paying GW an arm & a leg for them.

There is just something sexy about female assassins and for some twisted reason a nun with a weapon is even sexier.  So when I found these honeys (for $2.50 each on ebay) I couldn't resists.

So wrong yet so right!

These miniatures are from Reaper: Majeda, Battle Nun

Relictors Apothecary WIP

For some reason I really wanted to an an Apothecary to my Relictors HQ.  I have/had an old SM Apothecary but it's so out of date that it just looks plain silly next to new SM miniatures.  So I went on eBay to look for a Narthecium but  I just couldn't justify $7++ for a tiny little bit.  Then I remembered my first failed attempt to strip the paint off of a plastic Chaos Power Fist.  I let it in some Acetone-Free Nail Polish Remover for about 2 hours; the CPF and a few other items pretty much melted.  But my inability to throw anything away because it might useful someday paid off.  The CPF was in bad shape but with some tweaking it could become the basis of the Narthecium.

After an hour of scraping, cutting and gluing I had a reasonably good looking DIY piece of hardware.

For my HQ I am painting the helmets the color of their job function.

The index-finger broke off during the conversion but the needle replacement looks pretty cool.

Apothecary backpack from the OOP miniature.

The Narthecium parts:
1x Chaos Power Fist
1x Auspex
1x Bolter Scope
1x Chain Sword
1x wire from a laptop that I destroyed

Radical Daemonhunters - Inquisitor

This is the start of my Radical Daemonhunters army which is a WIP.
Radical Inquisitor w/ DIY Thunder Hammer
I got the skulls from the CSM Rhino Sprue
CRAP!!  I forgot to put this shoulder pad on!!

About two seconds after taking this photos the camera slipped from my hands and knocked this poor bastard off of the table.  The hammer arm and the backpack broke off but amazingly the Thunder Hammer survived!

I built the hammer from 2 ammo drums from an IG weapon, 2 skulls from a CSM Rhino Sprue and a IG missle.
